Payroll Tax Updates: Ship Dates

July 1, 2008 Tax Update

Canadian governments have announced payroll tax changes that affect users in the province of British Columbia and Newfoundland and Labrador. These changes have been incorporated into the July 1, 2008 payroll tax updates that current Payroll Update Plan (PUP) clients may download according to the following schedule at www.sageaccpac.com/myaccount (select the "Payroll Downloads" link at the top of the page).

Important Note: Tax table updates are normally released prior to the actual effective date. However, a subscription to the Payroll Update Plan (PUP) must be current as of the actual effective date in order to be able to download the update. As an example, the January 1, 2009 tax updates will be made available for your convenience prior to that date, your PUP subscription would need to be current as of January 1, 2009 in order to download the update.

Beginning June 23, 2008, we will begin shipping payroll tax updates to current PUP subscribers who have registered and prepaid for updates on disk.

If you are a current PUP subscriber, you will receive a letter explaining how to access your payroll tax update in mid June. If you would like to receive payroll tax updates on disk, please visit your Customer Profile at www.sageaccpac.com/myaccount and select the "Order Payroll Disk" link or call Sage Software Customer Care at 800-642-7693 Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. (A shipping charge of $19.95 plus tax will apply to payroll tax updates on disk; this charge covers any shipments released for the remainder of the subscription year.)

For U.S. subscribers to the tax updates, there were additional tax changes announced after the release of the January 1, 2008 tax updates.
